Reverse: "In the company of his trustees." (showing Daladier of France and Chamberlain of England.) German troops invaded Belgium in the night from May 9 to 10, 1940. Their main object was to prevent any interference of their major thrust against France. The Allied troops in Belgium were isolated from France late in May 1940 and King Leopold and his army surrendered on May 28th.
